History of the FTGA

History of the FTGA

This association was created to be a representative of foundation trust governors that worked with 'Monitor' and 'the Foundation Trust Network' in order to support governors. When the FTGA was functioning, it represented over 2000 governors that worked across England.

The main purpose of this association was to organise existing governors so that they could ask one another question to assist them in dealing with the prioritise and pressures that come with their role.

The objectives of this association are to increase the rate of conversation between governors in order to provide more shared information which could better the practise.

The FTGA aims to support the ongoing improvement of health services throughout the UK by enabling the funding to be accessed through NHS foundation trusts.
